With all the bad news about auto companies these days the idea of new, more fuel-efficient models is providing a bright spot. reports:

The cars are equipped with hybrid components that actually pass gas savings down to the consumer. There is a growing movement around the globe for these new vehicles that is potentially saving automakers from a total collapse.
